Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

I wish Plum Market was closer to where I live. Such high quality items. Best produce, competitive pricing on wine (I was surprised), and gorgeous floral department. Oh, and the health & beauty area is fantastic! I drove about 30 minutes to get vitamins that I was unable to find at (big name) stores near me.

I’ve been shopping there for several years and today’s experience at Plum West, was bad. When I got to the checkout, the cashier was rubbing his bare stomach below his navel, and wasn’t paying attention at all when I was asking him questions. Obviously not ideal for someone who’s handling your food. For their over inflated prices, I can do without the human DNA, on my prepared food containers (Yuck). I don’t expect their management to correct the problem.

Plum used to be my 'go to' store for its olive bar and for produce - which was fresh and reasonably priced. Now, their prices are skyrocketing, and produce quality is a major disappointment. Wine is always more expensive than the same brand/vintage at Busch's, Meijer's and other competing stores. They seem to be prospering on consumers who just don't know any better.

I’ve been going to this store since 2022. Today I had a horrible experience with Poppy, the store manager . She was a shorter woman with a green vest and grey hair and she followed me around the entire time my friends and I were there. She claimed it was because we beeped when we went through the sensor when we entered. We did, but that’s because my friend has metal in her ribs due to a prior surgery. She told us we came into the entrance to produce side β€œwrong” and claimed it was as only an exit. So she had to follow us. Funny how she didn’t communicate that with us until we called her out. We called her out on following us because I and my friends are people of color and it felt targeted. We spent $98 on ice cream and were waiting at produce side of the store, for our ride. And she continued to follow us. When we asked her why she was doing it, she claimed she had the right to because she was, β€œjust doing her job”. I’ve been a store manager before, never once was I trained to follow a customer ON THE WAY IN and especially not on the way OUT. So not only was she following us, she was incredibly rude to an unprofessional and unacceptable level. Or the way out, especially because we

Wow!!! They are an item no place else had in quantity. Zoup brand Savory vegan broth. And in their prepared sandwich counter, they had a Korean short rib burrito. Unbelievably delicious.
